Treatment plant design

Typical reuse projects for BIOTAL monoblock plants designing

UKRBIOTAL LLC provides design organizations with standard reuse projects for the design planning of BIOTAL plants of monoblock type with a capacity of 1.5 to 10.0 m³/day, developed by PE Ukrbiotal-project (Zhytomyr).

Recommendations for BIOTAL plants design planning

When designing treatment facilities with BIOTAL plants, we recommend design engineers to contact the technical department of UKRBIOTAL LLC for the necessary information. Information about the BIOTAL plants on our web-site (types, dimensions, specifications) can be used at the stage of pre-design development, and the working projects of the treatment facilities should be developed in accordance with the design specifications issued by the technical department of LLC UKRBIOTAL in accordance with a questionnaire provided by the designer. The form of the questionnaire can be downloaded from our web-site (section “Download”) and sent to the e-mail: [email protected] . Consultation on questionnaire filling and the contents of the design specification can be obtained at the technical department of LLC UKRBIOTAL (tel. +38 (067) 362-57-32). Before the start of construction work, the design documentation must be agreed with the technical department of LLC UKRBIOTAL.

Architectural and building part

When designing architectural and construction solutions, all sizes of structures must be taken in accordance with the design specifications. If under the conditions of the construction site there is a need to change the standard size of the BIOTAL plant, then such changes must be agreed with the technical department of LLC UKRBIOTAL. The thickness of the walls of tanks of monolithic reinforced concrete and their reinforcement must be calculated based on the data of engineering geological surveys. When changing the thickness of the walls of the tanks, the internal dimensions of the purificaion zones must remain unchanged. Particular attention should be paid to the waterproofing of the walls and bottom of the reservoirs. The waterproofing must ensure the tightness of the reservoirs of the plant and their resistance to aggressive sewage. In the construction of reinforced concrete walls of tanks it is not allowed to use metal elements (running staples, metal unreachable shuttering, etc.), as since they interact with aggressive environment, they are corroded.
When placing a blower building over the underground reservoirs of the plant, it is necessary to overlap the tanks within the blower to provide operational openings for air ducts and cables laying, as well as building materials for closing openings after the completion of installation work. When designing plants with underground reservoirs from prefabricated concrete wells, the distance between the wells should be taken as a minimum, based on the conditions of work.

Technological solutions

When designing treatment facilities it is important to correctly determine their capacity. The efficiency of the treatment facilities should be equal to the water supply of the plant, taking into account the prospect. If it is not possible to determine the actual water consumption of the drainage facility, it is necessary to calculate it in accordance with the requirements of DBN В.2.5-64: 2012 “Internal water supply and sewerage system”. After determining the capacity of the treatment facilities, it is necessary to establish the type of plant, depending on the features of the treatment plant site, the requirements for the quality of treated sewage, the method of surplus sludge removal, etc. The actual schemes of plants can be provided by e-mail after receiving your request. In the schemes of plants their sizes are indicated, plans for the location of technological equipment and its specifications. In the design of the scheme of plants was accepted condition that the waste water is fed to the plant by pumps.
In the case of gravity flow of sewage to the plant, it is necessary to correct the mark of the supply pipeline, as well as the mark of the bottom of the underground part of the plant, while all the dimensional bindings of the technological openings to the bottom of the underground part of the plant do not change. If the actual mark of the feeder of the gravity flow pipeline is higher than the reference indicated in the standard scheme, then it is not necessary to change the size of the underground part of the plant. It should also be taken into account that the overlapping of underground tanks should not be destroyed by soil, as this will interfere with the service maintenance of plants. In the standard schemes of BIOTAL plants, the blower building is located near the underground part of the plant (in monolithic type units), or above the underground part. In agreement with the customer and the general contractor, the building of the blower can be located near the underground part, at a distance of not more than 20 meters from the underground part.

Heating and ventilation

When designing a blower room air heating system in the calculations, it should be taken into account that a possible minimum air temperature in the blower room is set at + 5 ° C, and the maximum temperature is at + 28 ° C. The frequency of air exchange for 1 hour in the blower room should be taken in accordance with the calculation. In the calculation it is necessary to take into account the maximum air flow for technological needs (air supply to aeration systems). When designing the ventilation system of the dehydration shop, the multiplicity of air exchange for 1 hour should be taken at least twelve, and the switch of the ventilation system should be installed outside the premises.

Electricity

According to the requirements of DBN V.2.5-75: 2013 “Sewerage. Extranets and structures” the treatment facilities are the second category of reliability of the action. According to the requirements of PUE, the electrical equipment of the second category must be provided with electricity from two independent reciprocal sources of electricity supply. When designing backup power supplies from backup generators, their power must be at least 30% of electricity consumption when the plant is operating in the normal mode (p.9.2.1 DBN V.2.5-75: 2013). In the project it is necessary to provide an accounting board, from which the electrical supply of the BIOTAL plant, electric lighting and electric heating of the blower room will be provided. When placing the control unit and blowers in the box-recuperator, the supply cable is connected directly to the BIOTAL plant control unit. In this case, the user is obliged to provide protection of the plant from overloads and short circuits. The project should also provide lighting of premises in accordance with the requirements of DBN V.2.5-28-2006 “Natural and artificial lighting”.
